Robotaxi App Code Hints at Owner Enrollment

A teardown of Robotaxi app version 26.10 shows code that would let owners enroll their own vehicles.

Image: Tesla North

Tesla’s Robotaxi app now includes code for owners to enroll cars by VIN in the network. The app tracks enrollment stages including pending review, active, dispatched and unenrolled.

Tesla told investors on its Q3 2026 earnings call that the first customer vehicles could join around the second quarter of next year. Ashok Elluswamy noted the remaining step is integrating customer cars into existing geofences and fleet management.

The code also references fixed-route shuttles with predefined stops and Palo Alto campus pins, though no routes are confirmed live. Tesla has not commented on the findings.

Why it mattersFSD drivers could soon earn revenue by adding their own vehicles to the Robotaxi network once qualification and integration steps are complete.

Tesla Offers FSD Demos at Canadian Superchargers

Tesla is now highlighting Full Self-Driving supervised demos at Supercharger stations in Canada.

Image: Drive Tesla Canada

Tesla is expanding its Supercharger events to focus on FSD rather than vehicle test drives. A sign spotted at the Mississauga North Service Road station invites visitors to experience the feature.

The unannounced program differs from prior vehicle demos. It follows Tesla reporting FSD attach rates above 75 percent on new purchases and targets existing owners who have not yet subscribed.

The company already includes FSD supervised in its self-serve demo drive program but is shifting promotion to make the software the main draw at charging locations.

Why it mattersFSD drivers may encounter more chances to let others try the software during routine charging stops.

Giga Berlin Hits 7,000 Model Y in One Week

Tesla's German factory reached a new weekly production record of 7,000 Model Y vehicles.

Image: Tesla North

Tesla says Giga Berlin built 7,000 Model Y in a single week, calling it the next production milestone for its German factory. The figure exceeds the 6,000 cars a week reached in early 2024 and is 75 percent above the 4,000 weekly rate from February 2023.

The plant has been increasing output since May, when Tesla said it would raise production by 20 percent through added staff and shifts. Giga Berlin built more than 61,000 vehicles in the first quarter of 2026, averaging about 4,700 a week.

The factory supplies Canada and more than 30 other markets. Tesla began shipping Berlin-built Model Y to Canada in September 2025 to avoid the 25 percent counter-tariff on U.S.-made vehicles.

Why it mattersIncreased weekly output at Giga Berlin could shorten wait times for Canadian and European Model Y buyers who use FSD.
