Version 1 · Effective July 6, 2026
In short: TesCam Hub is an independent accessory, not a Tesla product. It's provided as-is — you're responsible for how you install and use it, and we can't guarantee compatibility with future vehicle changes or that any recording is preserved. You accept these terms in the TesCam Studio app when you set up your hub.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Paper AI ("we," "us"), the maker of TesCam Hub and TesCam Studio. They govern your use of the TesCam Hub device, its firmware, and the hub features of the TesCam Studio app (together, the "Hub"). By tapping Agree in the app, or by setting up or using the Hub, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Hub.
TesCam Hub and TesCam Studio are independent products of Paper AI. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or supported by Tesla, Inc. Tesla and related marks are trademarks of Tesla, Inc., and are used only to describe compatibility.
The Hub is installed in and draws power from your vehicle. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle — including its USB ports, electrical system, or battery — or for any effect on your vehicle's warranty arising from installation or use of the Hub. You are responsible for installing and using the Hub properly.
The Hub works with your vehicle's built-in dashcam feature, which is controlled entirely by Tesla. Tesla may change, restrict, or disable how its vehicles record to USB storage at any time, through software or hardware changes, and this may reduce or eliminate the Hub's functionality — temporarily or permanently. We work to maintain compatibility through firmware updates, but we cannot guarantee the Hub will remain compatible with any vehicle, and we are not liable if a change by Tesla makes the Hub less useful or unusable.
Dashcam and Sentry recordings depend on your vehicle, its software, available storage, power conditions, and other factors outside our control. We do not guarantee that any recording will be captured, saved, readable, or recoverable. Do not rely on the Hub as your only copy of important footage — import and back up the clips you care about. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost, corrupted, or unrecoverable footage, or for any consequence of missing footage, including in insurance claims or legal proceedings.
The Hub is a convenience accessory, not a safety system, and it does not replace attentive driving. Never interact with the Hub or the app while driving.
Laws on video recording, audio recording, and privacy vary by location. You are solely responsible for using the Hub and any recordings lawfully in your jurisdiction, including obtaining any consents required where you drive and park.
The Hub runs firmware that we may update over the air. Updates may add, change, or remove features. Do not modify the Hub's firmware or hardware; modified units are not eligible for support and may stop working. We may discontinue features or services when needed — for example, if a third-party change makes them impractical to maintain.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Hub is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions; these Terms do not limit any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost footage, lost data, lost profits, or vehicle downtime — even if we have been advised of the possibility; and (b) our total liability for all claims relating to the Hub is limited to the amount you paid for it.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Hub or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Your recordings stay on your Hub and on the devices you import them to — we do not receive or store your footage. For details on the app's data practices, see our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, the app will present the updated Terms for your review before you continue using the Hub.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
