Tesla Adds Grok Files to Intel Model 3 and Y

Software update 2026.38 includes Grok integration files for some older Intel-powered vehicles.

Tesla added Grok support files to Intel Model 3 and Model Y builds starting with update 2026.38, which began rolling out in late September. A root-access owner enabled the feature by flipping a flag, and the same change also activated full-screen parked visualizations on the Intel Atom hardware.
Tesla hacker greentheonly confirmed the files were added for Intel Model 3 but noted they remain absent from Model S and Model X with the same processor. Grok has been limited to AMD Ryzen cars since its debut, though it runs mostly in the cloud.
Full-screen park visualizations have sat unused on Intel vehicles for years, and it is unclear whether Tesla will enable Grok on these cars in the Holiday Update.

“the Intel Model 3 did get them added in 2026.38 so enabling it looks feasible indeed”

@greentheonly1

Key facts

  • Update 2026.38 added Grok files to Intel Model 3 and Model Y builds.1
  • A root-access Model 3 owner enabled Grok and full-screen park UI by flipping flags.1
  • Model S and Model X with Intel hardware still lack the Grok support files.1

Tesla Launches U.S. FSD Referral Program

Tesla has activated its FSD referral program in the U.S. and ended the vehicle referral program.

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) referral program went live in the U.S. on October 30. Owners with an active FSD subscription or purchase can refer others for a one-month trial. Successful subscriptions earn the referrer one free month or a $99 Tesla Credit.

The program replaces the prior vehicle referral system, which had offered up to $250 in credits. Limits allow up to 12 rewards per calendar year. Referrals work for existing Tesla owners, unlike the old program.

Tesla requires app version 4.62.0 or later and excludes one-year grant recipients. The program remains U.S.-only for now.
