Your Hub.
Any browser.
Windows, Android, Chromebooks, Linux — if it has a web browser, it can browse, play, and download your Tesla clips. No app needed.
One-time setup · About five minutes · Then it's just a bookmark
Two things. That's it.
The sticker on the bottom of your Hub
Everything you need is printed on one label: the Hub's WiFi password, your 6-digit pair code, and the serial number. Flip the Hub over before you head to your desk — or snap a photo of it.
A computer or phone with WiFi
A Windows laptop, an Android phone, a Chromebook — whatever's closest. You'll use it once to walk through setup, and every day after to watch your clips.
Four steps. Then it just works.
Plug the Hub into your car's glovebox USB port — or into any USB-C power source at your desk. Setup doesn't need the car. A phone charger works fine.
On your computer or phone, join the network TesCam-Hub-XXXX using the WiFi password on the sticker.
Your computer may warn “No internet” — that's expected. The Hub's setup network is a private link between you and the Hub. Stay connected.
No page pops up on its own — you open your browser and type the address yourself:
Follow the on-screen setup: enter your 6-digit pair code from the sticker, then choose your home WiFi. When it finishes, the page shows your Hub's permanent home address — that's the one you'll use from now on.
One address. Bookmark it.
After setup, your Hub lives on your home WiFi at http://tescamhub-XXXX.local — where XXXX is the last 4 characters of the serial number printed on the sticker.
Build your Hub's address
Type the last 4 characters of your serial and your personal link appears.
Your link shows up here as you type.
The .local address works on Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS, and most modern Android. If it doesn't load, use the numeric IP address shown at the end of setup — or find the Hub in your router's device list.
If something's not clicking.
I can't reach 10.42.0.1
First, check that you're still connected to the TesCam-Hub network. It has no internet, so some computers quietly hop back to a network that does — reconnect and try again. If it keeps dropping, move closer to the Hub.
The TesCam-Hub network disappeared
That's normal — and a good sign. Once setup completes, the Hub retires its setup network and lives on your home WiFi instead. Use your everyday address from here on. If your home WiFi is ever unavailable, the setup network comes back automatically.
tescamhub-XXXX.local doesn't load
Try the numeric IP address shown at the end of setup. And double-check that your computer is on the same WiFi network as the Hub — a guest network won't see it. You can also find the Hub in your router's device list.
Clips won't play in my browser
Some Tesla models record in a format not every browser can play. The Download button always works — save the clip and play it in your video player. You get the full-quality original file either way.
My PC doesn't have WiFi
Run the one-time setup from any phone's browser — Android works great. After setup, the Hub is on your home network, so your wired PC reaches it like any other device at your everyday address.
On iPhone, iPad, or Mac?
The TesCam Studio app is the full experience
Multi-camera editing, telemetry overlays, GPS route maps, and one-tap Hub imports — the app is the way to use your Hub on Apple devices. The browser viewer works there too, but you'd be missing out. It's here for everything else in your life that runs a browser.
